Oktoberfest Crowd Fills Reston Town Center Pavilion More than 400 registered attendees packed the Reston Town Center Pavilion on October 5 to enjoy the festivities and networking at the NVTC Fall Fusion Fest "Oktoberfest." Attendees availed themselves of cold beverages and a full buffet of genuine German cuisine while "the St. Pauli Girl" posed for photos and an authentic accordion player strolled through the crowd.

Grand Marshall Donna Morea, NVTC Vice-Chairman / Chairman-elect and President of CGI, introduced Amir Hudda, CEO of Event Sponsor Apptix. Hudda drew tickets for several raffles, including two round-trip tickets to Europe, donated by American Airlines. Tim Lin, Director of Global Mission Support, Tenacity Solutions, was the lucky winner.

Also drawing raffle winners was Michael Kolbrener, CEO of Kolbrener USA, the iPOD Sponsor; Katherine Ferguson Director, CTPartners, and Joel Bielski President/CEO, Harmony Information Systems, won iPODS. Several other raffle winners won golf umbrellas and Scott Hedrick, Director of Business Development, TechJournal South, won a free logo spot on the 2008 Techtopia map. Everyone went home with a commemorative beer stein donated by Gift Sponsor Invest in Germany.

Registration Policies

Registration
All attendees must have a paid registration to enter an event. Advance registration and payment is required. Pre-registration will close 24/48 hrs prior to the event. Once pre-registration has closed, all registrations will be considered a "walk-in registration" and will be assessed an additional fee to any payment rendered. Events for which payment is not required will not be assessed this fee. For sold-out events, no walk-ins will be accepted.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to events@nvtc.org more than two business days in advance in order to receive a refund. No-shows will not receive a refund.
