Big Data Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Greater Washington's Universities
Universities have a strong track record of spurring innovation. Two great examples are Gatorade originating at the University of Florida and spreadsheets coming from Dan Bricklin's work on VisiCalc at Harvard. Today, universities in the Greater Washington region are helping to grow and incubate new innovations in the Big Data and Analytics domain.
During this program, panelists from George Mason University, The George Washington University, University of Virginia and Virginia Tech will share information on their programs supporting commercialization of these innovations and how they can work with private sector companies to address their technology development needs.
The first 30 minutes of the event will be an "Innovation Networking Matchup." Connections will be facilitated among our innovative university and industry member participants around a variety of big data domains. Come ready to network, because connections can yield opportunities!
