Join the NVTC Big Data and Analytics Committee on Nov. 30 for a discussion on how universities and companies large and small work together to bring innovative ideas and products to market. The program will include remarks from Theresa Mayer, vice president for research and innovation at Virginia Tech, Bob Smith, who serves as both director of Mason SBDC and director of the Fed Tech I-Corps Program at George Washington University, and Tony Stanco, executive director of the National Council on Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer.
Virginia Tech's Office of the Vice President for Research is responsible for driving Virginia Tech's research agenda and building partnerships with outside businesses to promote and expand research. The Fed Tech I-Corps provides graduate-level business and engineering students with hands-on experience in building successful businesses commercializing cutting-edge technologies from federal labs like NASA and the Naval Research Laboratory. The National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer(NCET2) is a membership organization of university startup officers from the top research universities that works extensively with Fortune/Global 1000 open innovation and corporate venture groups to align university startups with their technology and scouting requirements.
