Membership Committee

Mission Statement


NVTC is the largest technology council in the nation with over 1100 member companies and organizations. The mission of the Membership Development Committee is to ensure that this number continues to escalate, as well as to encourage and educate member companies on how they can take advantage of the myriad of business and networking opportunities NVTC has to offer. Committee members - NVTC's "Ambassadors" - serve as the organization's independent advocates to:
  • Seek out and introduce prospective members to NVTC through collateral, exhibition booths, paid advertising, direct mail, free media and other outreach strategies
  • Help current members find their niche and gain value -- from committee involvement, to public policy, to the Equal Footing Foundation
  • Seek out corporate sponsors
  • Volunteer at events, introducing themselves to new faces

What's New

For their efforts, ambassadors are recognized quarterly in The Voice of Technology, and annually at Fusion Fest, with the "MVP of NVTC" program.

Additionally, by serving on the Membership Development Committee, participants are introduced to a focused group of like-minded networking experts, enabling them to create potential referral sources and meet new people at an accelerated rate.

This year, the committee created Fusion-a bi-annual event series at the Reston Town Center Pavilion. The events bring together representatives of all 17 committees in addition to other NVTC programs, such as Member Advantage, Equal Footing Foundation and TechPAC. The goal is to provide employees of member companies with a full range of opportunities to get plugged in all in one night!
