Cory is the Assurance Line of Service Leader for the Washington, DC metro region of PricewaterhouseCoopers. As part of that responsibility, he oversees all aspects of client service, relationship management, resource deployment, budgeting, and practice management for the Assurance practice. In addition, Cory serves as the Washington, DC Industry Leader for our Technology, InfoComm, and Entertainment (TICE) Industry group with specific focus on executing PwC's industry strategies. Finally, Cory is also a client service partner focusing on clients in the TICE industry group with specific emphasizison telecommunications and software clients.
With more than 22 years of experience, Cory has a wide range of experience in auditing, SEC reporting, registration statements and complex accounting issues in areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, equity instruments, leasing, business combinations, debt instruments, earnings per share, derivatives, asset retirement obligations and income taxes. He has served as engagement partner on audits of numerous telecommunications and technology clients and has directed audit services to clients ranging from early stage venture-backed companies to multinational companies with significant international operations.
Cory received his BS in Accounting from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Currently, he is a Board Member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra and serves on the fundraising committee of the National Capital Area Kidney Foundation. Past affiliations have also included serving as a Board Member of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association, the Reston Chamber of Commerce, Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and chairing the NVTC's CFO Awards program.
