Mr. Gary Nakamoto is Vice Chairman/CEO of Base Technologies, Inc. (BTI), a professional services firm that specializes in technology, outsourcing, partnerships and consulting.
BTI provides products and services for both public and private sector organizations. Most recently, the firm was named to the "Top 100" list as one of the largest prime contractors (IT) for the federal government.
Mr. Nakamoto's primary organizational role focuses on business development, marketing and strategic partnerships. He has advanced business in both public and private sector markets ranging from GSA Schedule and commercial services to healthcare IT solutions.
Mr. Nakamoto serves on both business and community boards with a dedicated commitment of making positive contributions. He currently serves on the Business Advisory Industry Council (Public Schools), Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), Touchdown Club Charities, the Board of Directors of business magazine, Corporate Corridors, Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area.
Additionally, Mr. Nakamoto actively supports the FC Public Schools Business Partnership Program. He was instrumental in the development and sponsorship of the "Cyber Ethics" Web cast for the school district.
As a professional committed to voluntary service, Mr. Nakamoto contributes to a number of charities, individuals and organizations - most recently to the Orphan Foundation of America.
Mr. Nakamoto is a graduate of Ohio University and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He resides with his wife Kelly in McLean, Virginia.
