Donna Morea is a nationally recognized executive in IT professional services management, with over twenty-four years of experience.

In May 2004, Ms. Morea was appointed as President, CGI. This unit is the new wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., one of the largest independent information technology firms in North America, created by the merger of CGI and American Management Systems, Inc.

As president of CGI, she leads the development and management of CGI's business that is dedicated to delivering information technology services within the United States. Clients include large organizations in government, healthcare, banking, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, and manufacturing, retail and distribution. Over 7,500 professionals serve the U.S., representing over $1 billion in annual revenue and 34 percent of CGI's total revenue.

Career Background

Ms. Morea began her career at AMS in 1980 and played a key role in developing AMS into one of the largest and most successful systems integrators in the public sector. Most recently, Donna was executive vice president for AMS's Public Sector Group; directing the company's work with federal, state and local government agencies. With over 30 years of government expertise and technology know-how, this group delivered over $660 million in revenue in 2003. Collaborating with customers to transform processes and services, it supported 375 state and local agencies, all major U.S. defense agencies, 90 percent of U.S. federal civilian agencies, and over 100 universities.

Other Professional Achievements

The contributions Ms. Morea has made towards the promotion of and growth in technology are widely recognized. Ms. Morea serves on the board as the vice chair of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the membership association for the technology community in northern Virginia. In 2004, she served on the Board of Directors of the Fairfax County, Virginia Chamber of Commerce. In 2005, she was elected to the George Mason University Foundation Board of Trustees. She is the recipient of the 2002 Corporate Leadership Award from Women in Technology, an international organization dedicated to fostering career opportunities for women; and the 2004 Private Sector Excellence award from the Association of Government Accountants, and she received the 2005 Fed 100 award.

Commitment to her community of colleagues and neighbors is paramount to Ms. Morea. She is a founding member of the advisory board for the Executive Women's Alliance, a national forum of senior executive women from Fortune 1000 companies dedicated to increasing the number of talented women in executive levels of corporations and organizations. Ms. Morea also serves on the board of directors for the Crossway Community, a nationally recognized innovator in enabling families to achieve self-sufficiency.

Ms. Morea is a frequently quoted expert; especially on the topics of public sector IT market trends and managed services trends in IT, in national business and trade publications including Consulting Magazine, Information Week, Washington Technology, Virginia Business, Governing and Federal Computer Week. Additionally, she often speaks at national and trade events.

Education and Personal Info

Ms. Morea holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA with high honors from Wesleyan University. She has two teenage children, and enjoys numerous activities with her family, including world travel. In 2001, she and her husband launched an ebusiness, selling fine Italian olive oil over the Internet.
