John is a partner in KPMG LLP Greater Washington and Baltimore area Information, Communications and Entertainment (ICE) practice. John specializes in serving technology companies, both public and private, and has assisted many companies with their initial public offerings and due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions.John has been a partner with KPMG for 20 years and has more than 31 years of experience with the firm. He has been based in the Washington area since 1978. John has served as the engagement audit partner for many technology companies including BTG, CareerBuilder, Dewberry & Davis, DRS Technologies, GE Global eXchange, Genicom, OTG Software, Software A.G., Veridian and Verisign.
John earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, a Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy, University of the Witwatersrand and a Certificate in the KPMG International Partner Program, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and D.C. Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past chairman of the Programs Committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, a member of Leadership Fairfax, Inc., a director of Filmfest DC and a past president of The Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.
