Kevin A. McNerney
Managing Director and Regional Market Leader
North America, Global Technology Market

Kevin A. McNerney is the Managing Director and Regional Market Leader, North America, for the firm’s Global Technology Market and IT and Professional Services sector, and is located in Korn/Ferry International’s Washington D.C. office. His client work includes senior-level searches for executives at the regional and national level and he is also involved in setting strategy and direction as part of the firm’s management team.

With more than a decade of experience in executive search and more than 22 years in information technology and professional services, Mr. McNerney’s search practice has been focused across these industries. His clients include software, professional and IT services, telecommunications, internet content and infrastructure, new media, outsourcing and systems integration companies.

Mr. McNerney joined Korn/Ferry from a closely held partnership, where he served as an investment banker focusing primarily on providing mergers and acquisition advice to boards of directors and management teams in the information technology and IT services markets.

Mr. McNerney spent more than 10 years with Heidrick & Struggles, including several years as head of the firm’s Global Technology and Professional Services practice, and as Managing Director of the Tysons Corner, Virginia and Washington DC offices.

Prior to entering executive search, Mr. McNerney was Executive Vice President for Systems Center Inc., a publicly-held, leading provider of network management software for large mainframe-based networks. He oversaw management of worldwide operations, including sales, customer support and marketing for North America and Europe and for Distributor Operations. Previously, he was the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. McNerney has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Virginia, and attended the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Executive Program. Additionally, Mr. McNerney is a Certified Public Accountant and is an active member of several privately held company and community boards.
