President, North American Public Sector
Prior to joining CSC, Sheaffer spent 27 years with American Management Systems Inc. (AMS). As a senior vice president from 1998-2002, he served as chief operating officer for AMS's telecommunications industry practice in North America and Europe and led the company's entry into the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions. From 1990-98, as European general manager, he created and built AMS's business with financial services and telecommunications clients, operating from 14 offices in 11 European countries.
Before his European assignment, Sheaffer established and led AMS's information technology consulting and services practice with the United States Department of Defense serving clients in all four uniformed services.
Sheaffer earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He served as an officer in the United States Navy. He serves on the board of directors for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), the executive board of the Professional Services Council (PSC) and the Maryland Federal Facilities Advisory Board, and as co-chair of TechAmerica Foundation's Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (CLOUD2 ).
