Jeff Novak is vice president of State Public Policy and Chief Counsel - Litigation & Compliance for AOL Inc. He co-chaired Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring's Transition Committee and currently chairs the Northern Virginia Technology Council's TechPAC. Prior to joining AOL in 2003, he was a partner at the McGuireWoods law firm and a law clerk for Judge Charles R. Richey at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

AOL's content sites and products enable more than 250 million visitors around the world to access the best collection of journalists, artists, and musicians on the web. AOL was the first Internet company to win an Emmy. The Huffington Post - one of its subsidiaries - was the first online-only news outlet to win a Pulitzer Prize.

Novak's work includes managing state and local public policy across 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as managing litigation, regulatory compliance, advertising/marketing, law enforcement, and national security issues. Recognized last year by the National Law Journal as the Washington Law Department of the Year, AOL's legal function is centered at its Dulles campus.
