Gary G. Pan, president and CEO of Panacea Consulting, Inc., founded the information technology and information management services firm in 1990. Panacea's core competencies support program management, software development, systems engineering, and support services. The company's clients include federal agencies such as the Department of Labor, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Army (Tricare), and the U.S. Postal Service. Washington Technology, Government Computer News, and Washington Business Journal have recognized Panacea for its leadership and contributions within the federal contracting sector. Panacea is also a 1999 Inc. 500 award recipient.

Prior to 1990, Mr. Pan led various enterprises supporting international, government, and commercial organizations in the areas of information systems, process reengineering, trade policies, venture-capital opportunities, real estate and publishing. His professional experience combines management consulting with advanced technical solutions. He has also traveled with the U.S. Department of Commerce Trade Commission to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, and Malaysia to develop joint-venture opportunities and discuss trade policies.

In addition to his role on the NVTC board of directors, Mr. Pan is co-chairman of the board of advisors of The Entrepreneur Center @NVTC, which provides resources and services to emerging technology companies and individual entrepreneurs in Northern Virginia and across the National Capital region. He also serves on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area, the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and is very active as an adult leader supporting the Boy Scouts of America. In October 2001, Washington Techway recognized Mr. Pan as one of the region's top managers.

Mr. Pan earned his master's in business administration with a concentration in international management from Virginia Tech and his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minor in legal studies from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in management with a concentration in organization leadership and entrepreneurship at the University of Phoenix.
