In this role he will coordinate the sales efforts of all lines of business in this critical growth market for PNC. He will be highly visible in the community in this role.

In addition to his management responsibilities, Della Corna is also a member of PNC's Corporate and Institutional Baking (C&IB) Diversity Council. He is a leader in C&IB's talent management and recruiting efforts, driving its highly successful efforts at Penn State and contributing significantly to the design and execution of its training program. He also was the C&IB leader for the United Way Campaign in 2009.

Della Corna joined PNC in 1989 as a management trainee. During his 24 years with the company he has served in a variety of positions in corporate banking and capital markets. Prior to relocating to Washington, D.C., as part of PNC's acquisition of Riggs, he was a senior relationship manager at PNC's Corporate Finance Group in Pittsburgh. He has also managed PNC's Contracting Group within Commercial Banking in Pittsburgh, worked in PNC's legacy International Banking Group and as an originator in leveraged finance.

Della Corna serves on the board of directors for the following organizations: the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business Corporate Associates Advisory Board and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, where he also serves as treasurer on the executive committee.

He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, and holds a B.S. degree in business administration with a major in marketing. He is also a graduate of Thunderbird (The American Graduate School of International Management) where he earned a master's degree in international management with honors.
