Craig Chason chairs the high tech and emerging company group of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP's McLean office.

Mr. Chason has extensive expertise in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, joint ventures, divestitures and public and private securities offerings. He works extensively with technology-oriented companies primarily in the IT services, software and healthcare industries. Many of his clients are government contractors. Mr. Chason's background includes serving as a corporate officer and general counsel for a major public company headquartered in the Washington metropolitan area engaged in clinical trial management and environmental consulting. In addition to being on the Board of NVTC and serving as past general counsel of NVTC, Mr. Chason serves as the co-chair of the GovCon Awards.

Craig earned his JD degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1983 and his BA degree in Economics from the University of Virginia, with high honors, in 1977. He has completed graduate coursework at the University of Chicago's business school.
