Janet Barnard

Janet Barnard is Vice President and Region Manager of Cox Communications Northern Virginia based in Herndon, VA. She is responsible for all Cox operations in Fairfax, Stafford and Spotsylvania Counties, serving approximately 270,000 customers.Ms. Barnard joined Cox in 1988 as Accounting Manager for the Middle Georgia operation. She later served as Controller, Director of Finance and Director of Business Operations for Cox's Gainesville-Ocala operation. She served as Vice President and Region Manager of Cox's Omaha system, and most recently held the position of Vice President and Region Manager for Cox's largest operation, Middle America, based in Tyler, Texas.
Prior to joining Cox, she served as a General Ledger Accountant for Beatrice Construction Co., Inc. in Beatrice, Nebraska. A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Ms. Barnard holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She was named Women in Cable and Telecommunications' 2003 Woman to Watch, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce 2003 Athena Award Winner and a 2003 YWCA Woman of Vision.
Janet and her husband, Bryan, have two daughters, Shannon, who works as a pharmacist in Dallas, and Cacy, who is a recent graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
