NANOTECHNOLOGY 101 SEMINAR

Goal/Purpose: The goal of the Educators' Nanotechnology 101 Symposium is to provide instructors an introduction to nanotechnology and identify how they can introduce nanotechnology concepts to students and encourage students to begin exploring nanotechnology through class projects. It is important for instructors to understand nanotech's interdisciplinary nature; its probable impact on every imaginable industry from construction to electronics to medicine; and the future workforce requirements.
Audience: Approx. 60 educators. Teacher teams from Northern Virginia, DC & Maryland school systems, guests from NVCC, NVTC, TESST electronics, Stratford University, Gibbs College, DC & Maryland community college representatives. Attendees are tasked to gather information and share it with educators within their community.
